Hunger exists all around us. In every county; in every state; in every country; everywhere; even in San Marcos, Tx. Fortunately, the small college town of San Marcos is home to the Hays County Food Bank whose mission is to feed everyone in the community.
Many student organizations at Texas State University help out by donating canned goods to the food bank during the holiday seasons. However, hunger is not seasonal. Families need to be fed every day. Students and the community can help by donating year round.
Take a moment to learn about what the food bank is; listen to staff talk about why its important to feed families; learn how students are helping the food bank; what types of items are in need; and how to get ahold of the food bank to start helping today.
